Company Town : Three Move Up the Ranks With Horror Filmmaker

Three executives have been promoted at the production firm of horror filmmaker Wes Craven.

Producer Marianne Maddalena was named president of Wes Craven Films. Jeff Fenner was named vice president of development, with Lisa Harrison named director of development.

Craven, who is currently filming “Vampire in Brooklyn” with Eddie Murphy, is best known for his “Nightmare on Elm Street.”

* Tele-Communications Inc. named Jedd Palmer vice president of TCI programming and president of Satellite Services Inc.

* Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. appointed David G. Johnson to executive vice president and general counsel. Ralph Wittenberg was named senior vice president, sales, for MGM/UA Home Entertainment.

* Nickelodeon has opened a new Los Angeles office, naming Robbie Rowe as vice president of development, Christopher Vaughn as director of talent relations and Paula Kaplan as director of communications.

* Lucy Wander-Perna was promoted to corporate senior vice president for Sony Pictures Entertainment.

* John D. Dumbacher was appointed vice president of licensing sales and retail for MCA/Universal Merchandising Inc. and Laura Jamet was promoted to manager of licensing sales.

* Ralph Walin was promoted to senior vice president of sales for Columbia TriStar Home Video, with Kimberle Lynch appointed senior vice president, overseeing legal affairs and distribution-related business affairs.

* Randy Parker is the new manager of international administration at Live International.
