Islas, from Santa Ana Valley High, has put on an awesome scoring display this season. He has scored 34 goals in 22 games this season for the Dons (17-2-3). But none of his goals was bigger than the one he scored Saturday. Islas scored with three minutes left in overtime to give Rancho Santiago a 1-0 victory and a berth in the State tournament. Islas, the most valuable player in the Orange Empire Conference, and the Dons play DeAnza (17-0-2) Saturday in Sacramento in the State tournament.

* Fullerton, sophomore. He had a career-high 27 points and 13 rebounds as Fullerton beat East Los Angeles, 78-68, in a nonconference game.
