Dam Project Offering Set: The world’s largest hydroelectric project, the Three Gorges Dam on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, will raise funds on the Hong Kong stock market, the official China Securities newspaper reported. The Three Gorges Dam Development Corp. will issue shares in its Gezhouba Hydroelectric Dam subsidiary, the paper said. That dam, also in the central province of Hubei, is completed and can pay dividends using its own electricity revenues. The money raised will be used to build the Three Gorges Dam, which will cost $13.3 billion, the paper said.
