35 Up (Bravo Sunday at 8 p.m.) is the latest--1991--installment in Michael Apted’s startling and unique series of five British documentaries that started with “Seven Up” in 1964. Every seven years Apted checks in on the lives of 14 children from the age of 7 who represent a cross-section of society.
La Femme Nikita (Bravo Saturday at 6 p.m. and midnight), Luc Besson’s 1990 imitation high-tech urban thriller, follows the rules only to subvert them into a feminist fable. The result is shallow, sometimes silly, but Anne Parillaud, in the title role, is riveting as a free-lance murderer turned government agent.
