Dunlap Named Assistant Coach for Titan Men’s Basketball Team
FULLERTON — Jeff Dunlap, an assistant coach for the past three years at Quincy University in Illinois, has been named an assistant basketball coach on Bob Hawking’s staff at Cal State Fullerton.
Dunlap, 31, was a three-year letterman in basketball at UCLA and a member of the 1985 NIT championship team coached by Walt Hazzard.
Dunlap began his coaching career in 1986 with the junior varsity at North Hollywood High, his alma mater. He moved to College of the Canyons in 1988 as an assistant with the men’s program coached by Lee Smelser. He was head coach of the women’s program there for three years. Those teams compiled a 44-20 record.
