ROUNDUP : Northridge, Santa Barbara Finish in 0-0 Tie in Soccer

UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Northridge each took 14 shots on goal but neither team could score in a 0-0 tie in a men’s soccer match Friday night at Northridge.

Each team had three corner kicks.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Occidental d. Cal Lutheran 15-8, 5-15, 15-9, 9-15, 16-14--Cal Lutheran lost its bid for an undefeated conference season when the Regals were tripped up at Occidental in a five-game match.

HIGH SCHOOL WATER POLO

Royal 21, Thousand Oaks 6--Randy Owens scored seven goals to lead the Highlanders in a Marmonte League match.

Teammate Bill Bruininga scored four goals for Royal (11-10, 4-1 in league play) and Matt Landre added three.

Bell Gardens 18, Burroughs 17--Bell Gardens scored the winning goal with less then two minutes remaining in the second overtime for an Almont League victory at Burroughs.

Alfonso Tucay scored seven goals for Burroughs (9-7, 2-3). Greg Paggi added four goals as the Indians rallied from a 9-3 deficit.
