SYLMAR : Library to Hold Used-Book Sale

Hundreds of hardcover books and paperbacks priced as low as 25 cents will be sold Nov. 12 at the Sylmar Branch Library.
The used book sale is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the library parking lot at 13059 Glenoaks Blvd.
Proceeds will go to the library for the purchase of books and library materials and to fund children’s programs, according to Irma Goodman, a spokeswoman for Friends of the Sylmar Library. The library is hard-pressed to afford these items because of budget cuts, she said.
