GLENDALE — Chris McAlister didn’t score a touchdown in Pasadena High’s Pacific League football game against Crescenta Valley, but he clearly established himself as the most-dominating player on the field Thursday night.
McAlister, a senior back for the Bulldogs (5-3, 3-0), passed for a 26-yard touchdown, rushed for 80 yards in seven carries, intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble in Pasadena’s 28-9 victory over Crescenta Valley at Glendale High.
McAlister also had a 77-yard punt return called back due to a clipping penalty.
Crescenta Valley (5-3, 0-3) lost its third consecutive game and possibly its playoff chances.
Several injuries added to Crescenta Valley’s woes.
Tim Condie, a senior running back, left the field on a stretcher and was taken by ambulance to Verdugo Hills Hospital with a possible broken left elbow and possible broken ribs. Chris Roberts also wound up in the hospital with a hip pointer.
Jason Griffiths suffered a pinched nerve in his shoulder and Steve Kelley, a sophomore playing in his first varsity game, suffered a wrist injury.
Chris Hedricks, who rushed for 90 yards in 14 carries for Crescenta Valley, missed a couple of series with an injured right foot.
