SHADOW HILLS — As his family looked on, a man was abducted from his home by three men wearing ski masks and brandishing rifles, authorities said Sunday.
Francisco Rodriguez, 40, told police that he was kidnaped and robbed Saturday after the men stormed into his house in the 11600 block of Bromont Avenue at 9 p.m., Los Angeles Police Sgt. Jerry Burns said. Rodriguez was freed by his armed captors 90 minutes later in North Hollywood, Burns said.
Rodriguez, a custodian for the Los Angeles Unified School District, was not injured, authorities said. Police did not release what the thieves took from Rodriguez.
“It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense,” Burns said, adding that Rodriguez could not identify his abductors.
