Woman, 24, Is Struck, Killed by Motorcycle
ANAHEIM — A 24-year-old woman was struck and killed by a motorcycle Wednesday morning as she walked across East Street, police said.
Carena Munos was crossing at Balsam Avenue, outside the crosswalk, about 6 a.m. when she was hit, police spokesman Chuck O’Connor said.
Munos suffered serious head and chest injuries and was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she died two hours later.
The motorcycle rider was not injured or cited by police, O’Connor said. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
