It’s a Very Cool Time to Get Trout in Sierra

It’s the most beautiful time of year in the Eastern Sierra, with trees in full bloom coloring the landscape in a various shades of yellow and red.
But for some, this is merely a bonus. After a fairly dormant summer, trout have responded to cooler temperatures throughout the region.
Grant Lake along the June Loop produced two of the best catches: a 4-pound 8-ounce brown trout by Adam Vick of Fullerton and a 4-6 brown by John Johnson of Napa.
