** Changing Faces, “Changing Faces,” Big Beat/Atlantic. While the coy suggestiveness of “Stroke You Up” and the soft-focus dreamscape of “Come Close” are attractive, the debut album by this female R&B; vocal duo, partially produced by R. Kelly, is bogged down by too much kitten-soft compliance. Even a hissing display of defiance on “Good Thing” and “Move On” fail to broaden this record’s one-dimensional appeal.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
