In other nonleague City Section games:
Birmingham 8, University 0--Courtney Blunt scored on a one-yard run early in the fourth quarter and Birmingham made it hold up for a victory over the visiting Warriors. Blunt, a senior tailback, rushed for 133 yards in 22 carries.
Brave quarterback Paul Prince completed three of 11 passes, all to fullback Marvin Powell, for a total of 28 yards. Meanwhile, Birmingham’s defense limited University to four first downs.
University drove deep into Birmingham territory in the middle of the fourth quarter, but the drive stalled at the five yard-line when Otse Adikhai (115 yards in 21 carries) was stopped two yards short of the first down on fourth and nine.
