THOUSAND OAKS : Reward Offered for Tips in Mall Thefts
A series of thefts from the parking lot at The Oaks mall has led Ventura County Crime Stoppers to offer a $1,000 reward for information helping to identify the thieves.
Sheriff’s investigators said thieves have targeted cars parked near The Broadway in the south lot of the mall. Both vehicles and car stereos have been stolen.
The thefts occurred July 2, 7 and 9. The stereos were stolen around noon, while thieves waited until after 8 p.m. to take the cars, officials said.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the crimes to call Crime Stoppers at 494-TALK. Callers may remain anonymous. If the information leads to an arrest, the caller will receive $1,000.
