Monthly Trade Figures Show Surplus in June: China scored its first monthly trade surplus in 16 months, cutting its deficit for the first half of the year to $820 million from $3.49 billion a year earlier, major newspapers reported. China’s trade balance in June swung to a hefty $970 million in the black, thanks to a strong recovery in exports of manufactured products, especially textiles and electronics, the official Economic Daily said, citing a Customs General Administration report.
