Unocal Corp. Sells Some Santa Barbara County Assets: The company has sold a group of oil-producing properties and other investments to Torch Energy Advisors Inc., a Houston-based subsidiary of Torchmark Corp. The assets include a 24% interest in Platform Irene, an offshore well in the Point Pedernales Unit, a 26% interest in the Point Pedernales Pipeline Co., 100% of three onshore fields and 3,700 acres of surface fee land holdings.
