SANTA MONICA : Heal the Bay’s Executive Director Resigns
Adi Liberman has resigned as executive director of Heal the Bay to become director of corporate development at Amerigon Inc., a fledgling electric car manufacturer in Monrovia. Mark Gold has been named acting executive director of the Santa Monica-based environmental group.
Its executive board is expected to appoint a permanent replacement for Liberman on Wednesday, said Roger Gorke, Heal the Bay spokesman.
Liberman, who was chief of staff to then-Assemblyman Tom Hayden (D-Santa Monica) before becoming Heal the Bay’s top officer in 1991, will remain a member of the group’s governing board. He will be a lobbyist and communications director at Amerigon.
