BRIEFLY : Dance: Twilight Series to Open at Pier
The Santa Monica Pier’s 10th annual Twilight Dance Series opens Thursday with the sounds of Caribbean and African music.
The festival, initiated by the Santa Monica Arts Commission and the Pier Restoration Corp., will be every Thursday night through Sept. 1 with a variety of bands, including salsa king Poncho Sanchez. Concerts are from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
