Each of Saudi Arabia’s 22 players will get a souvenir of today’s game against Sweden: a new Volvo.
“Regardless of the result Sunday, I will give each player a car,” Saudi businessman Wafaa Zawawi told the Swedish newspaper Idag after visiting Volvo headquarters in Goteborg, Sweden.
His gift is worth about $650,000 and might require some garage expansions in Saudi Arabia, where each player received a Mercedes after the team clinched a berth in the World Cup.
