HANOI : Mission for MIAs

Winston Lord, the U.S. assistant secretary of state for East Asia, will arrive in Hanoi on Friday with a delegation of Clinton Administration officials and veterans groups to try to make further progress in accounting for Americans listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War.

Accompanying Lord will be Hershel Gober, deputy secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs; James W. Wold, deputy assistant secretary of defense for POW-MIAs; the leaders of five veterans organizations, and Ann Mills Griffiths of the National League of Families--the leading organization for the families of POW-MIAs.
