Hollywood Has Record-Setting Weekend: Fueled by the latest Walt Disney Studios animated film, “The Lion King,” movie exhibitors reported their second-biggest non-holiday weekend ever. Moviegoers spent a total of $98 million at the box office, with “The Lion King” alone grossing $40.9 million--the fourth-best opening ever, behind “Jurassic Park” ($50.2 million), “Batman Returns” ($47.7 million) and “Batman” ($42.7 million).
