IRVINE : Girl Believed Lost Is Found at Home

A 3-year-old girl believed to have been missing Sunday was later found asleep in her home, police said.

The girl’s father frantically called police at about 4:30 p.m. and said she was missing from their Woodbridge home, police Lt. Vic Thies said. Twenty minutes later, the father found the child and the search for her was called off, Thies said.

“She was found before we started a major search,” Thies said. “She was really not lost at all.”
