California Company to Acquire Part of Satellite Firm: Carlsbad, Calif.-based Coded Communications said it will acquire a 40% stake in Domestic Satellite Philippines Inc., which provides satellite-based communications services in the Philippines. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Coded, which provides wireless data, telemetry and satellite equipment, said it will help upgrade Domestic Satellite’s earth station network by replacing the original analogue earth stations with digital equipment.
