Florida State Rallies to Drop LSU in Opener

OMAHA, Neb. — Florida State (53-20) scored six runs in the sixth inning and went on to a 6-3 victory over Louisiana State in the second game Friday at the College World Series.
The victory puts the Seminoles in the winners’ bracket game Sunday against Georgia Tech at 12:36 p.m. (PDT). Louisiana State (46-39) drops into the losers’ bracket to face Cal State Fullerton at 4:36 p.m. (PDT).
Paul Wilson (13-5) got the pitching victory, giving up seven hits. Scott Schultz took the loss, only his second of the season.
