Thanks for Keeping Everybody in the Race
As a lifelong baseball fan, I cannot begin to thank major league baseball for its decision to create the new six-division format.
The quality of the game appears to have improved for the simple reason that just about every team still has a chance to play in the postseason.
Though the so-called purists gripe about sub-.500 division leaders, this in time will balance itself out.
And selfishly, as a Dodger fan, I am more than happy to hear what the San Francisco Giants are doing.
