Fillmore Selects Fauver as Coach

Jeff Fauver has been named girls’ basketball coach at Fillmore High, replacing Pete Orozco, who retired last season after nine seasons.
Fauver, a 1979 Fillmore graduate, will move up from his post as boys’ basketball coach at Fillmore Middle School.

John Reardon, who retired last season after 26 years as head football coach of Rio Mesa High, will be honored at a dinner June 10 at Oxnard Community Center.

El Cariso Park in Sylmar is the site for a charity tennis tournament June 18-19 and June 25-26. Proceeds will benefit a neighborhood junior tennis program. Deadline for entry is June 6.
