Benefit Triathlon Needs Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to help run the Mazda/Orange County Performing Arts Center Triathlon at Lake Mission Viejo on June 5.
More than 1,000 people are needed to help register triathlon athletes, monitor the course, control the audience, time the race and staff the finish line.
Volunteers will receive a commemorative T-shirt and be treated to a post-race picnic lunch. Prospective helpers will also be able to attend a June 1 volunteer rally at the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel, where they can enjoy a buffet dinner and win door prizes.
The 1994 Mazda/Orange County Performing Arts Center Triathlon is a benefit for the cultural center that organizers hope will raise $60,000 this year.
