The New Otani Hotel will host a luncheon May 26 celebrating Filipino American culture with a fashion show, speakers and displays of local art and literature.
Cost of the Filipino American Cultural Exchange luncheon is $10. The noontime event in the Golden Ballroom of the hotel at 120 S. Los Angeles St. is part of the Japanese-owned New Otani’s effort to reach out to other ethnic groups and spotlight the different cultures in the community. The hotel’s African American luncheon in February drew several hundred people.
