On the Next ‘Geraldo’: Suspects Caught When Appearing on TV
A panelist at a taping of the “Geraldo” television show was arrested Thursday after a Westminster police department employee at the taping recognized him as a suspect in a pizza parlor robbery.
The police employee, who was on his day off, remembered 23-year-old Glen Allen Bouscher from a photo lineup of robbery suspects he had put together just Wednesday, police said.
The employee called Westminster detectives investigating the robbery and said, “Your suspect is on ‘Geraldo,’ ” according to Westminster Police Lt. Bill Lewis. “That’s the guy I put in the line-up.”
The detectives contacted Los Angeles police in the Wilshire Division who arrived at the Los Angeles studio before the show was over. They arrested Bouscher of El Centro after the taping. No one was injured in the February robbery.
Bouscher is in the Orange County Jail.
