Scholarships Offered for Business Camp

Ventura County high school students who want to attend a weeklong business camp in Ojai this summer have the opportunity to apply for scholarships to cover the camp’s $250 cost.
Sponsored by the nonprofit California Business Week Foundation, the weeklong camp will be held June 19-24 at Thacher School in Ojai.
Students at the camp work in small groups under the direction of actual business owners, learning to develop and market new products and to use computers to track how well products are selling.
Seminars scheduled for the week include “Why a Business Fails” and “Profit--The Motivation.”
The camp is open to all Ventura County high school students who are now sophomores or juniors.
To help ensure that all students have an opportunity to attend, the business foundation is offering full scholarships to eligible students.
Students may get scholarship applications either from their high school guidance offices or by writing: Scholarship Chairman, California Business Week Foundation, P.O. Box 50242, Oxnard 93031.
