SANTA ANA : Body of Woman Is Found in Alley

The body of a woman was found Wednesday in an alley in the 300 block of West 4th Street, police said.
The woman was identified as Snell Thomas, 43, address unknown. Sgt. Dick Faust said she had suffered head injuries, but the cause of death was unknown.
Officers were called to the scene, in a busy downtown area of shops, restaurants and bars, after the body’s discovery about 9:20 a.m. Partially disrobed, the body lay at the corner of a building. It was not know whether the woman had been sexually assaulted.
Police said she may have been a transient who frequented the area.
