Choosing a New Justice

* In choosing a Supreme Court justice, an excellent legal mind, by itself, is not a sufficient criterion. There are many cold-blooded, excellent legal minds. Another criterion, such as life experience, which contributes to how a person’s point of view is formed and how he will make decisions, is an equally valuable resource.
Additional factors, such as a commitment to balance on the court, should be weighed. With these considerations in mind, how about giving Professor Anita Hill the nod on this one?
