Man, 26, Killed in Drive-By Shooting as He Leaves Party

SANTA ANA — An unidentified 26-year-old man was fatally wounded Sunday in a drive-by shooting as he left a house party given by relatives, police said.
The man, struck by several bullets, was pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center, Police Sgt. Don Robertson said.
The victim’s name was not released Sunday night because police were still trying to notify his immediate family.
The shooting occurred at 1:51 a.m. as the man left a home in the 1400 block of West Cubbon Street. An unknown number of assailants drove past the residence and fired three shots, police said.
The police gang detail is investigating.
