WESTLAKE : Discussion on Role of Women in Chiapas

The role of women in the Zapatista National Liberation Army and its affiliated political movement in Chiapas, Mexico, will be the topic of discussion at the Tuesday meeting of Los Angeles Radical Women.
The meeting at 1616 West 9th St., Suite 7, begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a Mexican dinner at 7 p.m. There is no admission fee, but a $5 donation is suggested for the dinner.
In addition to a report on the role of women in the Zapatista movement, the meeting will feature an update on the activities of Los Angeles Radical Women, a nonprofit organization that provides education, skills training and advocacy for women.
