FREEWAY LEAGUE : Sunny Hills Upsets No. 3 Fullerton

Josh Hochgesang’s run-scoring double in the fourth inning gave Sunny Hills a 5-4 victory over third-ranked Fullerton in a Freeway League baseball game Wednesday at Sunny Hills.

Mike Guzman had a three-run double in a four-run first inning for the Lancers (8-8-1, 4-2). Fullerton fell to 13-3, 5-1.

It was the first loss of the season for Fullerton pitcher Ryan Golisano (7-1).

Buena Park 5, Sonora 0--Mike Davis (2-0) gave up four hits in recording his second consecutive shutout for Buena Park (8-6, 4-2). Greg Cabral hit his fourth home run of the season in the fifth inning and Johnny Cabral added three hits and one RBI for Buena Park.

La Habra 8, Troy 4--Jeremy Payne’s three-run double in the fifth inning helped secure the lead for La Habra (5-8, 1-5). Aaron Yessian had three hits and two RBIs, and Donny Cisneros had three hits and three runs scored.

Freshman Jeremy Weinberg earned his second victory, pitching 4 2/3 innings for La Habra.
