Burlington Air Express: IBM de Mexico, the Mexican affiliate of the U.S. computer giant, has awarded a two-year contract worth at least $3.2 million to Burlington Air Express in Irvine.
The contract calls for Burlington to ship computers and peripheral equipment from IBM’s plant in Guadalajara, Mexico, to distributors in Chile, Venezuela, Peru, Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay and Colombia.
Burlington, a subsidiary of the Pittston Co. of Stamford, Conn., was awarded a contract that has an option for another year, which would raise its value by another $1.6 million, according to the company.
