‘Wolves Need You’

Thank you for acknowledging the sad story of wolves in Alaska (“Howling Controversy Over Wolf-Killing,” Feb. 6).
Those of us who love wolves hope that other Americans will realize that Gov. Hickel is destroying a magnificent resource that belongs to all Americans, not simply greedy hunters looking for easy kills!
We urge all travelers to become involved and informed on this issue. The wolves need you. Help save them before they are cruelly decimated.

Much to my amazement, your section highlighted Alaska. In view of the horrific slaughter of wolves, you certainly could have chosen a far better article. Alaska should be boycotted for the continuous wanton slaughter of animals.
