Deportation Beats Incarceration

* After attending a neighborhood meeting with the Santa Ana city manager and a Santa Ana police captain as guest speakers, I find the (City Council vote) for a new Santa Ana jail is treating the symptom and not the cause.
Former Immigration and Naturalization Service Western Regional Commissioner Harold Ezell has stated at least 50% of Santa Ana arrests are (of) illegal immigrants.
When the Save Our State (SOS) initiative, which is obtaining signatures at a record rate, is passed and implemented, illegal aliens will be homeward bound as their taxpayer-supported free medical, schooling and housing will expire.
Law enforcement will be required to report immigration status to the state and INS for deportation proceedings.
Crime, overcrowding and jail requirements will tumble at least 50%, saving the city of Santa Ana taxpayers another unnecessary tax increase.
