Amos, from Foothill High, had 55 points in two games last week to became the fifth player in Rancho Santiago history to score more than 700 in a season. He had 32 before fouling out of Rancho Santiago’s 136-125 double-overtime loss to Riverside on Wednesday. He came back to score 23 points in the Dons’ 88-83 victory over OCC, giving him 715 this season. Amos also has set the Rancho Santiago single-season mark for free throws, making 210 of 298. Amos leads Rancho Santiago in scoring (23.1) and rebounding (8.1).
Other notables:
* Damion Morbley, Orange Coast, scored 37 points, had 24 rebounds and 10 assists, but the Pirates lost two games.
