Ventura County students wishing to enter the county science fair this year have four more weeks to complete and submit their projects.
Organizers of the fair have set a March 18 deadline for entries to the event, which will be held April 19-21 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura.
Sponsored by the county superintendent of schools office and the Ventura County Economic Development Assn., the science fair is open to students in the sixth through eighth grades from private and public schools throughout the county.
Students may enter either individual or group projects. Awards will be given in eight categories: botany; chemistry or biochemistry; earth, space and environmental sciences; math and computers; microbiology and medical science; physics; psychology, sociology and human behavior, and zoology and animal behavior.
