Young performers in the jazz, classical and commercial music fields are invited to apply for an annual scholarship sponsored by the Orange County Musicians’ Assn. A total of $3,000 in cash awards will be handed out as part of the B. Douglas Sawtelle competition, in addition to the $500 Mick Price Scholarship for excellence in jazz. Applicants must be residents of Orange County and enrolled as music majors or minors in an accredited a two-year or four-year college. The application deadline is April 1.
