BRIEFLY : Education: UCLA Group Awards Scholarships

The UCLA Alumni Assn. has presented scholarships to several Westside students.
Graduate Distinguished Scholars were awarded to Los Angeles residents Jay Gill, Michael Grizzi, Sandra Hirsh, Vikas Jha, Ann Kaneko, Alison Savitz, Mark Sternlicht, Karen Stokes and Venice resident Frederic Seavey.
Undergraduate winners were Beverly Hills residents Roya Perry and David Tazartes and Los Angeles residents Steven Alcala, Hui Cheng and Jeffrey Hunt.
Scholarships are based on merit and range in size from $1,000 to $3,000. Students must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5.
