A baby-sitter who killed a 10-month-old boy by hurling him across a room after he pulled her hair was sentenced in White Plains, N.Y., to up to 25 years in prison. The parents of Kieran Dunne referred to Ann Franklin as a “monster” and a “liar” as they spoke at her sentencing. After months of denial, Franklin, 26, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in December. She said she “got annoyed” and threw him across the room, smashing his head against the floor.
