TV Viewership Sets a Record

The Winter Olympic coverage Sunday night on CBS was viewed by 82 million, the largest audience for a single night of the Games--Summer or Winter.
The national Nielsen rating was a 29.2 and the audience share a 41. The rating is the third-highest ever, behind a 33.3 and a 30.0 for successive nights during the 1972 Summer Olympics at Munich.
