ANA to Reduce Work Force by 1,500: All Nippon Airways Co., Japan’s second-largest airline, said it will trim about 10% of its work force in a restructuring plan aimed at bringing costs under control. The program calls for completing the cuts by the end of March, 1996, through attrition, curtailed recruitment, introducing contract employees in some cabin crew positions and relocating workers to affiliated firms, the company said in a statement.
