Three Injured as Tiles Topple at Home Depot

FULLERTON — Three family members, including a 6-year-old boy, were taken to area hospitals Saturday after they were injured by boxed ceiling tiles that tipped over at a home improvement warehouse, firefighters said.
The accident took place about 4:30 p.m. at Home Depot at 601 Placentia Ave., officials said.
A woman believed to be in her 60s was taken to the UCI Medical Center in Orange for her injuries, while a 6-year-old boy believed to be her grandson was taken to St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton for minor injuries. A man believed to be related to the other victims also was taken to St. Jude for treatment for minor injuries, firefighters said. Home Depot officials declined to comment about the accident.
