Steve Park, a tennis standout who transferred from Granada Hills High to Van Nuys for personal protection, was granted athletic eligibility by the City Section.

Granada Hills sought to have Park’s athletic eligibility denied, but the City ruled that the Park family was not informed of Granada Hills’ action until after the transfer process had begun.

In other City rulings, Steve Senkowski, a baseball player from Faith Baptist High, has been granted a hardship transfer to Chatsworth.

Cal State Northridge will play a regularly scheduled home game Saturday against Cal State San Bernardino at Pierce College at 1 p.m.
