PACOIMA — A man was shot and seriously wounded during an argument on a Pacoima street early Sunday morning, Los Angeles police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was allegedly shot by Laborio Cassillas, 39, after he struck and injured Cassillas during an argument in front of 11803 Glenoaks Blvd. about 1 a.m. Sunday, said Officer Lorie Taylor, an LAPD spokeswoman.
Witnesses chased down Cassillas and held him until authorities arrived. He was arrested at the scene, Taylor said.
“There were two victims down on the ground when officers arrived,” Taylor said. “Ends up one was shot by the other.”
Cassillas, who was being treated at County-USC Medical Center, has been charged with attempted murder, Taylor said.
The man who was shot was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.
Both men were in stable condition Sunday.
