Driver Killed, 2 Injured in Head-On Crash

A 37-year-old Newbury Park man was killed in a head-on collision on California 150 near a Lake Casitas campground, the California Highway Patrol reported Saturday.
Joseph Buc was traveling east on Lake Casitas Road at 4:45 p.m. Friday when he swerved into the westbound lane and crashed into a pickup truck driven by Randy Crabtree, 36, of Oak View.
Buc was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said, and his passenger, Robert Dennis of Eagle Rock, was flown to the Ventura County Medical Center and treated for head injuries. Dennis, 32, was in fair condition Saturday, a nursing supervisor said.
Crabtree was taken to Ojai Valley Community Hospital, where he was treated for a broken heel and released Friday night.
