TransWorld Bancorp Profit Rises 5% in 4th Quarter

TransWorld Bancorp, the Sherman Oaks-based holding company for TransWorld Bank, said its fourth-quarter profit rose 5% to $490,000, from $467,000 in the same quarter a year earlier.
For all of 1993, TransWorld posted a profit of $1.38 million, down 27% from $1.9 million in the previous year. TransWorld, which operates 10 branches in the Los Angeles area, closed 1993 with assets of $313.4 million, up 25% from $251.2 million at the end of 1992.
